Leonora Costello is a licensed dental hygienist, educator, and Master of Healthcare Administration candidate dedicated to advancing oral health through innovation, equity, and strategic collaboration. With both an associate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, she blends clinical expertise with a broader public health perspective to drive meaningful change in patient care and professional education. Leonora serves as a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer with EMS Dental, where she partners with clinicians and academic institutions nationwide to implement Guided Biofilm Therapy using the AirFlow Prophylaxis Master device. In addition to her training and consulting work, she provides clinical care at East Carolina University, working directly with underserved populations to reduce disparities and improve access to preventive services.  Currently pursuing her MHA, Leonora is focused on healthcare leadership, process innovation, and sustainable improvements in dental education. Whether she's leading hands-on workshops, mentoring future providers, or building institutional partnerships, she brings energy, empathy, and a commitment to collaborative growth.

Mit meinem Abschluss zur ZFA 2003 begann der Einstieg in meinen absoluten Traumjob, seit dem führe ich eine durchgängige Praxistätigkeit, unter anderem in Schwerpunktpraxen auf Parodontologie, Implantologie und CMD. Ich sammelte sehr viel Praxiserfahrung und besuchte Zahnärztetage und Fortbildungen. 2015 absolvierte ich meine Aufstiegsfortbildung zur ZMP an der Uniklinik Leipzig und verfolgte mit großem Ehrgeiz im Anschluss 2019 meine Dentalhygienikerin Ausbildung an der Universität Witten Herdecke mit anschließender Bachelorarbeit. Seit 2016 arbeite ich nach dem evidenzbasierten 8 Schritte GBT Protokoll und wachse stetig mit neuen Herausforderungen.

Mir ist es vor allem wichtig meine Patienten minimal invasiv und maximal präventiv über eine lange solide Behandlung zu betreuen und dies gelingt mir jeden Tag aufs Neue - mit der GBT nahezu perfekt. Seit 2020 begleite ich an der LZKS viele Mitarbeiterkurse als Referentin und bin im Prüfungsausschuss für die Durchführung der ZMP aktiv.

2022 absolvierte ich meinen Betriebswirt der Zahnmedizin und begann meine Tätigkeit als GBT Trainerin in der SDA mit ganzem Herzen.

Mein Name ist Janine Schröter. Ich bin eine erfahrene und leidenschaftliche Dentalhygienikerin, die ihre Berufung zum Beruf gemacht hat.

Ich arbeite in einer Zahnarztpraxis im Herzen von München. Nach meiner Ausbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Fachangestellten entwickelte ich schnell die Leidenschaft für die Prophylaxe. Zahlreiche Patienten haben mich während meiner praktischen Tätigkeit motiviert und inspiriert, was man mit einer zielgerichteten und individuellen Mundhygieneinstruktion und -therapie erreichen kann. Um mein Spektrum in den Bereichen der Prophylaxe und Parodontologie zu erweitern, habe ich die Qualifikationen „Zahnmedizinische Fachassistentin“ und „Dentalhygienikerin“ erworben.

Seit Beginn meiner zahnmedizinischen Laufbahn arbeite ich mit den Geräten der Firma EMS. Im Jahr 2018 habe ich die Guided Biofilm Therapy in unserer Praxis etabliert und bin so auf die Swiss Dental Academy aufmerksam geworden. Seit 2019 bin ich nun Teil des SDA-Teams und stolz darauf mein Wissen, meine langjährigen Erfahrungen und meine Begeisterung für die Guided Biofilm Therapy weitergeben zu dürfen.

As a GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) Education Specialist and lead of the United States Success Coaches, Leslie brings deep expertise in preventive dentistry, biofilm management, and minimally invasive hygiene protocols. Laureata con lode in Igiene Dentale nel 2019 presso l’Università di Napoli “Federico II”, dove ho poi proseguito gli studi conseguendo la Laurea Magistrale in Professioni Sanitarie Tecniche. Ho inoltre completato il mio percorso accademico con un Master Universitario di I livello in “Gestione della salute orale nel paziente parodontale e Special Needs”. Lavoro come libera professionista presso diversi studi odontoiatrici nelle province di Napoli e Caserta e, dal 2022, collaboro con EMS come GBT Trainer. Credo fortemente nel protocollo GBT, ogni paziente dovrebbe poter vivere un’esperienza positiva, innovativa e confortevole. Nei miei corsi unisco conoscenze scientifiche, tecnica e passione. Ai miei colleghi cerco di trasmettere gli strumenti concreti per trasformare la teoria in pratica e la pratica in eccellenza, in un clima di autentica condivisione.
