Laura Bailey graduated from Manchester University in 2013 as a Dental Therapist.

 

She not only came top in her year but she also won 2 awards for her final year case presentations and for being the best overall student of the year both clinically and academically.

 

She has worked in private practice since at ‘The Richmond Dentist’ where she treats patients who have become friends.

Claire is proud to be one of the UK SDA training team and works in private practice in Leeds, carrying out Guided Biofilm Therapy on her own patients daily. Not only does she teach all things GBT on courses and in practice, she is also a key opinion leader and/or ambassador for well known dental brands, as well as writing numerous articles for industry/consumer press titles and public speaking. She is extremely passionate about her profession, oral health and prevention.

Jolene Pinder is a dental hygienist based in the west coast of Scotland. She qualified as a dental hygienist in 2001 whilst serving in the Royal Navy. After leaving the military she has worked in various practices throughout the UK. Jolene is the lead hygienist at Flossbar in Troon. Flossbar is a direct access dental hygiene practice. With a special interest in behavioural change she has used this to inspire and educate fellow dental professionals. She has been a Swiss Dental Academy trainer since 2014 and teaches in the UK on Guided Biofilm Therapy. She has had articles published in the Dental Press on tooth whitening, making hygiene treatment profitable and GBT. Jolene is both an elected council member for the BSDHT as the representative for Scotland and also as a member of the executive committee. She is also an ITI ambassador.

Kayley trained at Portsmouth Dental Academy in 2006 alongside Kings College London students, attaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. After graduating, she moved to South London, working in two private dental practices, before returning home to Poole in June 2011. Kayley is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and keeps up to date with the latest research in dental hygiene care. Additionally, Kayley continues to grow her knowledge in Dental Implants by supporting the ADI Team Congress and EAO (European Association for Osseointegration) Congress. She loves working with paediatric patients and gently helping anxious patients through their treatment, taking a holistic approach and fundamentally placing the prevention of disease and individual care of patients above all else.

Benjamin qualified from Newcastle University in 2011 as a dental therapist. He holds additional qualifications, BSc (Hons) and MA Education. He splits his time between teaching at the Eastman Dental Hospital, and clinical practice at Clinic 95, Oxford. His combined interests in education and disease prevention align well with the Guided Biofilm Therapy process and the delivery of GBT masterclasses. He is a member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers, Association of Medical Educators and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
